When our Aunt Letty announced 2002 that she was going to cosmetology school to learn how to style and cut hair professionally, we were excited for her. Raising her family was her full-time job and she put her dreams on hold for the longest. Her time had finally come. She came home at night and her classes were all she seemed to talk about. She was determined and got her required hours in at a local academy in what possibly may have been record time. She was a natural and at the end of the day, making people feel good, she used to tell us, was the most rewarding part. After graduating she was soon offered a chair at a salon. Cut to 3 years later when she opened Emmanuel’s Salon de Belleza, our family business. A beautiful five chair salon with two washing stations and esthetician room. We can still smell the incense burning in the air.
Throughout the years, Aunt Letty has heard and seen it all. She was impressed by how often and how personal the conversation would turn from her chair. Nothing seemed off limits- money issues, family drama, but most of all, health problems. Her mind turned to the retail side of the business. We offered the usual big brand names for hair care but she thought we needed more. It seemed an obvious decision to try and offer more personal care items to our clients. She started offering a variety of Health products. After she still saw several clients inquiring about other products they had to buy in other locations or online. She decided to create a one-stop store. After several years of word of mouth and referrals we were able to grow our clientele in our Brick & Mortar Location and now on our online store.
Much has snowballed since then. Today we are DIVINE BEAUTY, committed to bringing a Whole Beauty and Body experience to our clientele and now, to the world. Our online store reaches 35,000 customers a month and we're growing rapidly. We've made new friends along the way including YouTuber's, Instagramer's and other Social Media Influencers.
